Erica was scared of the storm, so she and Adam left the Yacht Club's dining room and retreated to her suite. Adam wondered if he should call Jackson, since he assumed that Erica wanted to make him jealous. Erica claimed that she did not care about Jackson or his relationship with Carmen. Adam knew that was a lie. He stated that Erica needed every man in her life to love her, even if she was not in a relationship with him. She confessed that she was lonely. They slowly moved towards each other to kiss, but Erica pulled away suddenly. She asked Adam to leave and he respected her wishes.

Kendall came home to find Zach waiting up for her. He wanted to go to bed, but she insisted on talking. She admitted that she was not happy and he admitted the same. They wondered why they were unhappy, even though they loved each other very much. He asked if her life with him and their sons was enough for her. She assured him that their family was her top priority. He inquired if Ryan was coming between them, but she denied this. She explained that she wanted Greenlee and Ryan to be together. Still, she promised to stop meddling in Greenlee and Ryan's lives. Zach commented that Kendall was more focused on her friends' problems than their marriage. Just then, Erica came over.

Zach went to bed, so Erica and Kendall could talk privately. Erica announced that she could not help Kendall with Adam anymore. Kendall pleaded with her mother to reconsider, but Erica said that she despised Adam. Erica relayed Adam's comment that she needed every man to love her. Erica thought it was absurd, but Kendall looked concerned by the comment.

As Amanda and Jake left Fusion, they saw Pete lying on the ground motionless. Jake realized that Pete had been struck by lightning and rushed him to the hospital.

Opal went to the Chandler Mansion to look for Pete. Colby said that Pete was not there and Opal became frantic. Opal explained that her cards portended danger for Pete. Just then, Opal received a call from Amanda, informing her about Pete's accident.

Pete was unconscious in his hospital bed. He dreamt that he was a super hero and he turned Adam into a pile of dust with a lightning bolt. He also imagined that Colby loved him and kissed him.

Opal looked at Pete in his hospital bed and screamed at him to wake up, so Pete opened his eyes. Opal, Colby, Amanda, and Jake were relieved. Jake explained that Pete was not severely injured because the lightning passed over him, but never went through him. Pete was excited to see that he had a scar from his accident. Opal began to yell at Pete for leaving the house when he was grounded. Pete assertively told his mother to leave him alone, so he could talk to Colby. Opal left the room.

Pete informed Colby that the lightning changed him. He said that he felt different, like his personality was altered. Colby looked into Pete's eyes and admitted that he seemed more confident. After Colby left, Adam arrived. He asked Pete if he accomplished their mission. Pete replied that he successfully tainted Bella. Then, Opal entered the room. She warned Adam to stay away from Erica.

Taylor and Frankie were hanging out with their unit from Iraq at BJ's. All of the soldiers were dressed in camouflage and talking about their upcoming deployment to Iraq. Taylor constantly mentioned that she wished she were going back with them. Then, Randi entered the restaurant and the soldiers started to whistle at her. Frankie introduced Randi to his unit and the men commented on Randi's attractiveness. Frankie was excited to see Randi, but she seemed unenthused to be with Frankie and the other soldiers. Frankie pulled Randi aside and asked if there was something wrong. She admitted that seeing him in camouflage "freaked her out." She said that she finally realized he was really going to Iraq. He reassured her that he would safely return to her and they kissed.

Randi tried to have fun with the unit, but Taylor could tell that she was uncomfortable. Taylor assumed that Randi was probably bored from their stories. Randi admitted that she was worried about Frankie and did not want him to leave. Taylor became agitated and stated that Frankie needed to be completely focused on his duties in Iraq. Taylor further noted that soldiers died when they thought about their loved ones, instead of the war. Randi looked upset and left the restaurant.

Frankie asked where Randi was, so Taylor informed him that his girlfriend left. Frankie wanted to find Randi, but Taylor urged him not to go because Randi wanted to talk him out of going to Iraq. Frankie wondered if Taylor wanted him to break up with Randi. Taylor affirmed that she wanted Frankie to be focused in Iraq and not be distracted by Randi. Frankie snapped and commented that Taylor wanted him not to have a life, like her. She looked hurt by the comment, so he apologized. He said that he knew it was the one-year anniversary of her fiancé's death. She yelled at him to shut up, so he decided to leave BJ's. She warned him not to drive because he had been drinking, but he left anyway.

As Amanda and Jake entered BJ's, Taylor recalled losing her fiancé. Tears ran down her face and she ran out of the restaurant. Jake noticed Taylor bolt, so he chased after her. She yelled out that she wanted to go back to Iraq because it made her feel closer to her fiancé. He tried to console her, but she pushed him away and ran off.

Jake and Amanda went to the yacht to try to find Taylor. Taylor hid in a closet to avoid them. As they talked, Taylor listened. Amanda inquired why Taylor was upset. Jake said that it was "personal." She wondered why Taylor confided in Jake. He affirmed that he was not Taylor's confidant. Then, they kissed and went to the bedroom. Taylor emerged from the closet and looked distraught.

Frankie was stopped by a police officer while he was driving. Frankie seemed nervous.

Greenlee told Aidan that she wanted to quit Fusion after arguing with Kendall. Aidan asked what the disagreement was about, but Greenlee said it was simply a business matter. She did not tell Aidan that the fight was really about Ryan. Aidan ordered a special gift for Greenlee while eating breakfast at BJ's.

Randi asked Angie how Frankie was doing since he got pulled over for driving drunk. Randi thanked Angie for telling her about Frankie, but asked why she bothered to say anything, since they weren't exactly the best of friends. Randi assumed that Angie blamed her for Frankie's actions. Angie said that Frankie's life had turned upside down since he met Randi. Angie asked Randi if she was with Frankie the night he got arrested. Randi said she saw Frankie at a bar with some of his military friends, but felt uncomfortable around them, and left. Angie tried to apologize, but Randi left to go to Fusion.

Frankie apologized for driving drunk, but Jesse said those words were not good enough. Jesse wondered if Frankie's decision was a way to get out of redeployment to Iraq. Frankie wanted to go to the hospital and start his shift, but Angie said she had arranged for someone else to take over for Frankie. Frankie told both his parents to stay out of his life, and walked out of the office. Jesse said he did not think Frankie realized the serious violations that came with drunk driving. Angie said Frankie being in jail was a better option for him than going back to war. Jesse's phone rang, but he did not answer it. Angie picked up the telephone, but no one responded on the other end. She asked Jesse who was calling and hanging up on him. Jesse said he did not know who the caller was, but Angie did not believe him. Jesse promised Angie would never lose him again to anyone or anything. She received a page from the hospital and left.

Amanda was surprised to see Kendall working on the Bella perfume boxes alone. She jokingly asked Kendall if all the staff had gotten fired. Kendall said that she just wanted to finish up a few packaging details. But Amanda knew Kendall was at work to avoid something else. Amanda explained that Pete was struck by lightening, but the Bella packages had managed to avoid getting fried. Randi rushed into work a little late. The promotional Bella perfumes arrived, but Amanda noticed one of the boxes looked like it had been opened already. The deliveryman said the shipment was secure when it came to him. He left after Amanda saw that all the bottles were in the boxes.

Pete went to the Chandler mansion to see if Colby wondered how he was doing since being struck by lightening. Colby said she had forgotten about the incident, but Pete remembered her visiting him at the hospital. Pete was tickled that Colby seemed to care about him, but she pretended to still be disgusted by his presence. Pete told Colby he needed to leave for a "top secret mission" and scurried off.

Tad and Krystal went to the Chandler mansion after getting a phone call from Babe. Babe and JR came downstairs to announce their engagement. Tad and Krystal congratulated Babe and JR. Colby heard the news as soon as she walked into the living room. Adam also congratulated Babe and JR. Babe, Colby, and Krystal went outside. JR told his father he expected him to be upset about the engagement. JR accused his father of hating Babe. Adam offered to throw Babe and JR an engagement party at the mansion.

Babe found a worried Amanda trying to keep everything in order at Fusion. Babe announced her engagement. Kendall was the one only who did not seem excited for Babe. Greenlee came into work, but her reaction to the news was the same as Kendall's. Greenlee told Kendall they needed to set aside their personal problems to run Fusion successfully. Greenlee asked Kendall if Erica had found out about Adam's plan to take over Fusion yet. Kendall said Erica was still working on it, but Greenlee got annoyed that Erica's plan had not worked. Pete arrived at Fusion. He peeked into the open box while packers started loading up the Bella perfumes. Krystal came by Fusion to tell Babe about the engagement party. Aidan came by Fusion to surprise Greenlee with a honeymoon trip. Babe gave Greenlee a bottle of the tainted Fusion to use on her honeymoon.

Frankie came by Fusion to see Randi. Randi said Frankie was a different person around his military friends. Frankie said he thought seeing his buddies would prepare him for going back to Iraq, but he also wanted to spend time with Randi. Frankie said it was unwise to try to mix the different personalities and relationships together. He said that he drove around looking for Randi when he noticed she had left the bar. Frankie hated the idea of leaving Randi behind in Pine Valley. He told Randi he was falling in love with her.

Pete called Adam to let him know the tainted Bella bottles were being shipped out.

Tad sat down with Aidan to eat breakfast. Aidan said he found Jesse's phone records. The phone records showed several calls from a blocked number that seemed to last the same amount of time. Aidan said the outgoing calls showed he probably called the blocked number. Aidan said it was possible Jesse was having an affair. Tad went to the police station and overheard Jesse talking to a stranger on the phone. Jesse said the person needed to stop calling him because Angie was getting suspicious. But Jesse promised he would see the person again soon. He said he loved the person and hung up.

JR and Tad were at the Comeback playing pool. JR shared his eagerness to marry Babe, but Tad seemed distracted. JR apologized to Tad for criticizing his failed marriage to Dixie. Tad affirmed that he was to blame for the failed marriage because he was unfaithful to Dixie. Tad stated that cheating on a spouse was a "heartbreaker."

Adam walked into his living room and saw everyone preparing for JR and Babe's engagement party. Adam commented that their marriage would fail, like the other two times they were married and divorced. Krystal scolded Adam for being pessimistic.

Babe told Krystal that she was very excited to marry JR again because she felt that they "finally got it right." Krystal stated that Babe and JR were going to spend the rest of their lives together. Then, Krystal noticed that Babe was wearing her old engagement ring. She wondered if the old ring was bad luck. Babe looked nervous.

Adam walked in on JR and Babe kissing. Adam was annoyed by the display of affection. JR inquired why his father was hosting an engagement party if he was so sickened by their union. Adam replied that he could not forget the sordid past JR and Babe shared. Babe then spoke with Adam in private. Adam assumed that she was going to chastise him, but instead she thanked him. She was grateful to Adam for allowing her, JR, and Little Adam to live in the mansion together. She stated that Adam was part of the reason JR changed for the better. She proclaimed her undying love for JR, kissed Adam on the cheek, and walked away. After Babe left the room, Adam smiled.

Krystal went to the Comeback to pick Tad up for the engagement party. She was surprised to see that Tad was not dressed and ready to go. She realized that Tad was hiding something. So, he divulged his suspicions that Jesse was cheating on Angie. Krystal was shocked by the allegation, because Jesse and Angie shared a great love story. Tad explained that Jesse was making and receiving sketchy phone calls. Tad worried that Jesse was in love with Angie as well as a woman he met while he had been in hiding for twenty years.

Angie went to the police station to bring Jesse a suit for the engagement party. Angie commented that Frankie would not have been redeployed if he had a wife and kids. Jesse wondered if Angie wanted their son to marry Randi. Angie adamantly stated that she did not want them to marry. She told her husband to get changed. He claimed that he had too much work, so he could not attend the party. She seemed disappointed.

Erica was at Zach and Kendall's home. Erica could sense the tension between the couple. Erica asked Zach what was wrong with their relationship. He asked why she wanted to know, so she answered that she needed to solve their problems. He chuckled and said that Kendall and Erica were a lot alike. Kendall then spoke with her mother in private. She pleaded with her mother to continue spying on Adam. Erica refused because she claimed that Adam's ego was too big to tolerate. Kendall wondered if Erica was falling for Adam, but she denied any romantic feelings for her ex-husband. Kendall persisted to beg Erica and asked her to attend the engagement party. Erica refused to go.

Ryan was at the park when he ran into Corinna and Emma. Ryan told the babysitter that he would watch Emma for the afternoon. Emma and Ryan proceeded to run around the park and play. They made up a story about a butterfly as they chased butterflies in the park.

Ryan returned Emma to Annie at the mansion. Ryan apologized for coming over while everyone was preparing for the engagement party. Annie said that she did not mind Ryan being there. He commented that she looked beautiful in her dress, but she asked him not to compliment her. Annie then went downstairs and allowed Ryan to spend time with Emma. Emma wanted to show him her doll's new dress, so he looked around the room for the doll. He was shocked to find a handgun hiding in the room.

Guests arrived for the engagement party. Randi accompanied Frankie. Randi introduced Carmen to Frankie as someone she knew in foster care. Carmen was delighted to meet Frankie. Randi informed Carmen that Frankie was falling in love with her. Carmen was ecstatic and inquired about their love life. Randi admitted that she had sex with men for money-before her relationship with Frankie. Carmen embraced Randi.

Pete informed Adam that the women of Fusion gave a bottle of the tainted Bella perfume to Greenlee. Pete worried this would foil their scheme. Just then, Erica entered the room. After Pete exited, Erica asked why Adam was talking about Greenlee. Adam avoided the question and told Erica that he was glad to see her.

Pete found Colby in the backyard. She yelled at him for stalking her and urged him to leave her alone. Pete refused to back off and affirmed that he liked her very much. He grabbed her and kissed her. After the kiss, he winked at her and walked away. She seemed pleasantly surprised by his brazen act.

Tad and Krystal saw Angie arrive at the party without Jesse. Angie told them that Jesse was busy at work. So, Tad left the party to find Jesse at the police station, but when he got there, a cop said that Jesse was off duty.

JR made a toast to Babe. He got down on one knee and said that he wanted to give her a new ring that symbolized their future together. JR opened a jewelry box, but it was empty. He looked confused and told Babe that there was a ring in the box when he last checked. She said that she wanted him, not the ring. Just then, Little Adam began to choke.

Greenlee and Aidan entered their honeymoon suite. Soon after, there was a knock on the door. Greenlee had invited a makeup artist to their suite. Aidan waited as Greenlee met with the artist. After the artist left, Aidan was excited to see the result. She took off her bathrobe and revealed a love poem written all over her body. He caressed her body as he read the words written on her stomach and back. They were about to make love, so she wanted to remove the body paint. She looked in her luggage for makeup remover, when she noticed the bottle of Bella shattered in her bag. After she touched the perfume, she began to itch. Aidan put her in the shower, but she began to act oddly. She wondered if she could be pregnant. He asked if she changed her mind about having children. She replied, "I want to have your baby, Ryan."

Thursday, September 25, 2008

Ryan ushered Emma out of the bedroom. He slipped the gun into his pocket and went downstairs. Babe told JR that she did not care about getting a new engagement ring. Suddenly, Little Adam began choking. Annie rushed to his side and was able to get him breathing again. Frankie and Angie quickly examined Little Adam to make sure he was okay. Frankie said Little Adam did not appear to have sustained any major damage. JR shared the good news with the rest of the crowd. Adam told Annie he was impressed with her calm demeanor as Little Adam was choking. Annie said it was just motherly instincts. Ryan came outside to join Adam and Annie. He pulled out the gun and asked her why it was in Emma's bedroom. Annie pretended that she did not know how the gun got in Emma's room. Ryan accused Annie of lying to him.

Kendall looked disappointed when she heard JR thank Annie for saving Little Adam's life. Kendall told Zach that Annie only helped Little Adam to try to earn back Ryan's trust. Erica scolded Kendall for being so harsh on Annie. Frustrated, Zach walked away. Erica, Zach, and Kendall came outside when they heard Ryan and Annie yelling at each other. Ryan said he found the gun in Emma's room. Ryan handed the gun to Zach. As Ryan pressured Annie to tell the truth, Adam admitted he put the gun in Emma's room. He said he hid the gun to protect Babe while the Satin Slayer was on the loose, and must have forgotten to lock it up in the safe after the murderer was captured. Ryan told Annie he wanted Emma to stay with him because she was not safe with Annie. Annie claimed Ryan wanted to take Emma as a way of getting back at her for losing their baby. Zach told Ryan to come home with him and Kendall and spend time with Spike. Once the trio arrived home, Kendall wanted to call Jackson to see if Ryan could get full custody of Emma. She pushed Ryan to file charges against Annie. Ryan told Kendall to let him handle Annie alone. Kendall told Zach that Ryan was right. It was not her place to meddle in his marriage to Annie.

Jesse arrived at the party a little late. Tad asked Jesse if he was having an affair. Tad said he heard Jesse on his cell phone telling someone he loved them. Also, Tad said he knew that Jesse was not at the police station before arriving at the party. Tad asked Jesse for the identity of the mystery woman. Jesse said he tried to end a relationship with another woman, but the woman wouldn't let him go. Tad said Angie was suspicious of Jesse's behavior. Angie found Jesse at home, but had no idea he had even shown up at the party. Jesse said he needed to talk to her about his past. He said an ex-lover was the one calling and hanging up on him. Angie asked what the woman wanted. Jesse said the woman wanted him back, but he refused to leave Angie.

JR and Babe threatened to leave with Little Adam unless Adam removed all the guns in the house. Adam told Annie he knew the gun was hers, but chose to take the blame as a way to thank her for saving Little Adam. Annie accused Kendall of planting the gun to make her look bad. Adam said Kendall and the rest of the Fusion clan would soon get exactly what they had coming. Erica overheard the word "Fusion" slip from Adam's mouth. She went into the room and asked him what he said about Fusion. Annie said she and Adam were discussing the new Bella perfume.

JR took Babe outside to properly ask her if she would marry him. Babe said yes, but their happiness was disturbed when they heard Annie. Annie was screaming at Ryan, who had Emma asleep in his arms. Emma woke up and asked Ryan where they were going. Ryan said he was taking Emma home.

Frankie told Randi that he had a surprise for her. They went to the Fusion rooftop for a romantic candlelight picnic. Frankie and Randi kissed, but she pulled away when things got a little too intense. Randi said she was not used to being intimate with a man for emotional reasons. Frankie said he loved Randi.

Colby felt guilty for not immediately trying to help Little Adam as he choked. Pete told Colby that she had nothing to feel guilty about. He said that the way she delivered Jennie was heroic enough to him. Colby told Pete to stop talking to her, and left.

The doctor told Aidan that plenty of rest and fluids would make Greenlee feel better. The doctor said the rash was an allergic reaction to seafood, but she would make a full recovery. After the doctor left, Greenlee immediately realized that Aidan was hurt when she called out Ryan's name. When Aidan did not come to bed, Greenlee gave him a big hug and apologized for hurting him. Greenlee told Aidan that he would never make her as happy as Ryan once did. Aidan awoke from the nightmare and saw Greenlee sleeping. Greenlee had a nightmare that Aidan felt foolish for loving her and walked out of the hotel room. Aidan and Greenlee continued to have nightmares and dreams. Aidan envisioned Greenlee pledging her undying love to him. Greenlee dreamed that Aidan accused her of loving Ryan. When Greenlee woke up, she was relieved to see Aidan had not left. Greenlee told Aidan that Kendall had been pushing her to spend more time with Ryan. Greenlee said Kendall felt she was the only one who could help Ryan through the miscarriage. But Greenlee was not willing to risk her marriage to help Ryan.

Friday, September 26, 2008

Aidan and Jake respectively and lovingly dropped Greenlee and Amanda off at the Fusion offices while Kendall barely held back her contempt for the couples' open displays of affection. When the men left, Kendall asked Greenlee how the honeymoon went. Greenlee tried not to talk about it and succeeded for a short time as Amanda talked about Bella's success. Kendall continued to hammer away at her until Greenlee confessed that there was more than just the enormous workload that brought both her and Aidan home early. She admitted that because of her sickness, she called Aidan the wrong name, and Kendall knew immediately that she had called her new husband Ryan.

Ryan tried to serve his daughter a breakfast of pancakes with a smile but Emma wasn't able to hide how much she missed her mother. Ryan tried to explain why he took her out of the Chandler house, and although she seemed to understand, she quickly told him that she missed living at home with both of her parents. Ryan tried to change the subject and asked how she'd been getting along with Little A, and she piped up with the knowledge that Babe and JR were getting married. She then told her dad that the couple kissed a lot and Emma wanted to know if he and her mother still loved each other since they didn't kiss.

A shadow came over Annie as she napped on a sofa on the Chandler patio. Once the light was stamped out, Annie awoke with a start. Babe apologized for the scare and asked why she'd slept outside. Annie told her that she'd had problems falling asleep and thought that the fresh air would help. She then made mention of how upset she was that Ryan had taken her child away. Babe assured her that it would be temporary, but Annie said that Ryan had pulled the stunt to get back at her. Adam appeared from the house just then and, having overheard what was said, told Annie that she needed to stop giving Ryan reasons to retaliate. He likened the situation to a scenario he saw on the History Channel and told Annie that if she loved her daughter as much as she said, she would stop hiding and fight to get Emma back.

Over coffee at the Comeback, Krystal went to the back to fetch some coffeecake while Angie informed Tad that Jesse had confessed to an affair that happened some years prior but had ended long before he'd come back to Pine Valley. She told him that the case was closed and thanked him for his efforts, but Tad's face showed that he didn't quite believe the story. Angie's phone chirped then and she found a message from Frankie that said he was headed to court for the drunk-driving case. She gathered her things and headed out before Krystal got back, which puzzled the latest Mrs. Martin. Tad caught her up to speed and they both hoped that all would end well.

Aidan arrived at the Comeback and, upon seeing each other, Tad told his old partner that the Jesse investigation was over and that Jesse had confessed to what had happened while he was on the run. Although Tad proclaimed that the most perfect Hubbard love had survived to see another day, Aidan held his reservations close. He noted that even things that seemed perfect might be something completely different.

After Aidan left, Krystal approached her husband and asked if he was disappointed. Tad told her that he was glad that it had turned out that he was wrong about Jesse. She agreed on that point but insisted that Tad would have loved a little taste of detective action again. He sweet-talked and danced with her until she believed that he was happily out of business and in love with an amazing woman.

Angie arrived at the police station and when she met up with Jesse, she told him that she was upset that they hadn't been able to attend the hearing. Jesse noted that their son probably didn't want them hovering over him. Frankie came in just then and Angie realized that Randi had been allowed to accompany her son. She let it go and immediately asked her son what the ruling had been. He told her that he had been given six months of probation and community service along with a suspended license. Angie asked what it meant for his redeployment and he told her that it had been delayed. Angie expressed joy over this, but she was alone in the celebration. To avoid harsher words between them, Frankie opted to leave, despite his mother's pleas, and Jesse told her to just let him go. Angie asked why Frankie couldn't see that being delayed from returning to Iraq was a good thing, and Taylor, who had been sitting off to the side, pointed out that having a DUI on his record was not a good thing. Jesse's phone went off and he stepped away, which allowed Taylor to note that Frankie would lose out on six months of helping people. Angie retorted that she would not apologize, as the possibility that Frankie would have died in those six months was just as valid.

The two women continued to go head-to-head, with Taylor promoting a return to duty as an honor, while Angie tried to hammer it home how horrid that return would be. Angie finally lost control and declared that Taylor had no way of knowing how she felt because she wasn't a mother or a wife and had never lost anyone to the war. Taylor fell silent during the verbal assault, her only reaction a few flinches as Angie yelled. When the barrage ended, Taylor tearfully noted that she had no idea where Angie was coming from and walked off. Jesse returned a few moments later and Angie immediately lit into him and asked if he agreed with Taylor. Jesse sidestepped the question and instead said that Angie needed to regard their son as a grown man who got that way mainly because of his experiences in the war.

Angie agreed to try to respect her son's choices, but said that she would never stop worrying. Jesse told her that he worried just as much as she did but that he had opted to give Frankie his space. Angie swore that Frankie could have all of the space that he needed, but that she would never say goodbye to her son.

Ryan told his little girl that he and Annie were in a rough spot and that there were some things that needed to be worked out, but that everything would be okay. He sent her upstairs to finish getting ready for school just before he heard a knock at the door. He opened the door and found his estranged wife on the other side. She demanded to see Emma but he refused and edged her back into the hall. He told her that he didn't want to upset Emma and that he wouldn't allow her to return to her mother until he was sure that their little girl would be safe.

Kendall assumed that Aidan freaked out upon being called Ryan, but Greenlee quickly cleared up the misunderstanding and said that Aidan was fine because he knew about her past with Ryan and chalked it up to her illness. She then pushed for them to get back to work, but before they could, Babe arrived and updated everyone on Little A's condition. Amanda then begged them to all really get back to work so that Bella's launch would continue to go off seamlessly. They were disrupted again a few moments later when Annie showed up. She informed everyone that Ryan had taken Emma, and Babe was immediately sympathetic. Kendall, on the other hand, almost threw a party. Annie tried to knock her down when she pointed out that Ryan had violated the restraining order, but Greenlee piped up and revealed that the order had been falsely obtained. Kendall then announced that it was probably best that Emma be kept far away from her delusional and paranoid mother.

Kendall and Greenlee continued to defend Ryan against Annie's accusations until the young woman felt compelled to ask if either of them had forced Ryan to steal Emma. Kendall told her that Ryan had managed to do the right thing on his own. Completely irate by that point, Annie grabbed her things and started to storm out of the office. They asked where she was headed, and Annie's only response was that she planned to do exactly what she should have done the first moment that Ryan made off with their daughter. After she left, Greenlee quickly called Ryan and tried to warn him. She got his voicemail and she instructed him to call Kendall. Once she hung up her phone, she told Kendall to go find him, but Kendall said that she couldn't because she had promised Zach that she wouldn't meddle. Kendall urged Greenlee to go, but Greenlee refused to be pushed toward a rescue attempt of her ex-husband. Kendall told her that if she didn't act fast, Ryan would end up in jail and Greenlee would have to live with that on her conscience.

Frankie showed up at the hospital and told Jake what had happened in court. He then spotted Taylor and opted to walk away. Taylor approached Jake and he asked why she was there. She confessed that she had an appointment with a psychiatrist, and Jake thought it was a good move to get her psychological issues worked out. She told him that she was going to the appointment to prove that she didn't have post-traumatic stress disorder and he reminded her that she needed to be honest when talking the doctor. She got upset and told him that she would do what she needed to do to get back to Iraq, because being a soldier was what she did and what she was good at. He asked if she would tell the doctor about the nightmares and the tremors she had, but she was irate that he dared to try to get inside her head. He then pointed out that her hands were shaking simply because he'd asked her some pointed questions.

A short while later, after Jake had vacated the area and Taylor sat on an empty gurney in the hall, Frankie returned to the main desk. She approached him and asked if he was avoiding her. He told her that he was simply behind schedule and that he didn't want to talk about his redeployment. She agreed and asked if they could talk about hers. He looked at her quizzically, so she showed him her shaking hands and asked if he could give her anything that could help.

Randi arrived at work and, after she told everyone what happened with Frankie's court case, she asked them to pile on the work to make up for her tardiness. They discussed the state of Bella business, and Kendall couldn't help but to interject her pessimistic viewpoint. When Amanda noted that she was in too good of a mood to listen to Kendall, Kendall told her that she would regret it. Babe then noted that if business for the new perfume continued at its rapid pace, they would need all hands in to help for another month. She, Amanda, and Randi all volunteered to help out, and then Babe asked Amanda if she would be too busy to serve as maid of honor. Amanda gleefully accepted on the condition that Babe threw the bouquet directly at her.

The office phone rang then and Amanda ordered their new intern, Pete, to answer. When he did, he found a doctor that had seen Greenlee on the other end. He told the man that he would give the message to Greenlee, so the doctor confirmed that Greenlee's allergic reaction was to something synthetic and topical. Pete pretended to write it down and then nervously hung up the phone. Unaware that Kendall had her gaze trained on him, he stuck the message in the pocket of his suit jacket and walked away from the desk. After he made his way out of the office, Kendall filled Babe in on her suspicions. Babe was skeptical, but Kendall talked her into making a trip home to see if Pete had decided on an impromptu visit. As Babe started to run out of the office, Amanda called after her, upset that people kept leaving even though there was so much work to be done. Babe promised that she would be back and made a mad dash for the elevator.

Annie went to the police station and talked to Jesse about Ryan's violation of the restraining order. After he heard her tale of woe, he noted that there had to be something that she and Ryan could do to work things out. Annie insisted that using the police was the only way, so Jesse told her that if she involved the police, Ryan would be arrested and there would be no turning back, for Ryan or for their marriage.

Greenlee showed up at Ryan's place just as he returned with Emma from school. Once they got inside, she told him what happened at Fusion and advised him to return Emma before the situation got completely out of control, but he refused to entertain the notion. Greenlee noted that taking Emma would not fill the empty space left by the miscarriage and urged him not to fight with Annie over the child they had, but Ryan pointed out that they both knew that it was less about the gun and more about Annie's instability. Before Greenlee could push any further, there was a sharp rap at the door and Jesse announced his presence. Greenlee pleaded one more time, to no avail. When Annie called out to her daughter, Emma went running to open the door and flung herself into her mother's arms. Jesse and a social worker walked around the mother and child, and made a beeline for Ryan.

Greenlee tried to explain why Ryan had taken Emma but Ryan refused to let her stand up for him. Jesse told him that they could let the charges drop if he agreed to release Emma. Ryan refused to do that and noted that he was not in violation. Jesse told him that the order was still legally binding and that he needed to make a decision about what would happen next. While Emma continued to assert that she wanted to stay in the condo with both of her parents, the social worker attempted to coerce Emma away from her father. This intrusion set Ryan off, and Jesse was forced to place Ryan under arrest for obstruction. At the same time, Greenlee demanded that Annie do the right thing and stop Ryan from being arrested, but Annie insisted that Ryan was getting what he deserved since he stole her daughter and broke the law. Irate, Greenlee grabbed Annie's arm and started to call her names and Annie demanded that she be released before she had Greenlee arrested as well.

After he checked to make sure the coast was clear, Pete snuck into the Chandler living room and delivered the "good news" about the reaction Greenlee had to the Bella perfume - that the lab had been unable to isolate its source. Adam was pleased that with the tainted batches in circulation, enough people would be affected that the company would tank and would be easily bought out. Babe snuck up on to the patio and saw Pete talking with Adam. Although she couldn't hear what was being said, her suspicions slammed into overdrive.

Aidan stopped by the Fusion offices to pick up Greenlee for their lunch date, but when he found out she wasn't there, Kendall swooped in with a quickly fabricated story about a makeup emergency to explain his wife's absence. He swallowed the story easily enough but when she attempted to be friendly, he reminded her that he would no longer confide in her, and made his exit.
